Gaga's rock performance of Abracadabra at the Grammys.

However you personally feel about her, she's undeniably a flexible and endlessly creative artist. Going from the original to a rock band version is impressive.

For the longest time, I had to defend her to people my age. Even my late brother, himself a musician, did not appreciate her.

After the Tony Bennett album.

While it has been good to see her diversifying over the last decade, coming back to herself with Mayhem is AMAZING.

These days I don't pay too much attention to her costumes and symbolism, I just enjoy her badassery.
