The Beatles Live In Washington DC 1964 -- Pretty good sound -- 35:17 long.

Click on "Watch on YouTube" for song set listing, beginning with Roll Over Beethoven.
Harrison sings lead on Roll Over and harmonizes with McCartney for the second verse of All My Loving. And after all these years I'm still wondering what McCartney meant by "She was just 17, you know what I mean . . ."

I had lots of fun dancing and singing to all these greats! I remembered almost every word of most, being obsessed by them as a youngster as was most of America at the time. I remember going to my friends house and we would play every album in a row, dancing around like crazy plus singing. I sang the Paul parts, she sang the John ones as those were our faves. Good times!!

My buddy and I would play the 45s on his portable record player. We'd take turns as DJs announcing songs and singing along. His mother was very tolerant.

My parents were barely tolerant however: the first night The Beatles were on Ed Sullivan's show I asked to watch and was turned down. That happened to be the
night my folks' friends came over to play cards. Only after much persistent pestering
did mom and dad acquiesce.

I was allowed in the cigarette-smoke-filled living room in my pajamas. Made to sit on the edge of the couch, as close as possible to the small black and white TV set. Mom
lowered the volume so I could just about hear it. The card table was close by in the
middle of the room. The four adults carried on, having a good time playing cards.
Their voices were unrestricted. As soon as the show was over it was bedtime.

It was nonetheless a treat see the band live on TV. And how much moreso to watch
that night again on a 23 inch computer screen through headphones at any volume
I want.

Good Times Indeed!! Thank You lark!!
