I did not know until just now that science fiction writer John Scalzi owned the original of these rare guitars

Fun fact: There are six Hutchins "Beast" guitars in the world: 2 red, 4 blue. I own the original, which is described and shown in this video, and which I purchased at auction in 2021. The second red one was put up for auction last year but did not sell.

That thing has to weigh a ton.
I got to play Rick Neilsen's 5 neck, and I guessed it weighed 30#. I could never play that thing for more than one song!
This one has 6 necks & 2 of them are bass, so longer, heavier necks
Sure enough, I looked it up & it weighs 37#!
I only have one keyboard heavier than that.
It's a cool collectible & it didn't cost a ton, but no thanks.
Good for John though. He looks happy about it.
