Second album tour (Communique).
Just by sheer luck, my wife & I got 6th or 7th row dead center seats for a sold out show. Counting the orchestra put, we were 20' from Knopfler all night.
I loved those first 2 albums.
Nearly every guitar player I knew (I'm including myself) learned the solos on this tune.
I kind of lost interest after Mark bought a distortion pedal. That early tone was part of their magic.

... without the borderline preciousness. SD was a studio group, DS was a live performance group.
