1. Awesome! Just one thing

if you don't mind me saying. I love to write lyrics and noticed the line "I might as well have committed a crime" sounds a bit squeeze in there. May I suggest something like: "Might as well live a life of crime" or something close to it? It has one less syllable and doesn't sound rushed.

Other than that, I think you have something there.

3. Sounds really good!

Nice arrangement, good performances, and good energy.

I might suggest taking a little 300hz (+/-) out of the kick drum (seems a little "woody&quot , 500hz (+/-) out of the toms and trying some parallel compression with the drum subgroups (if you aren't already.)

It's really close but the drums are sounding a little "2D" on my system and I think with a little work they could be more "3D." Maybe carve a little more 200hz out of the bass?

Humbly submitted suggestions, but like I said - great work!

This is exactly the kind of feedback I need, I'm working in a new mix room I just put together, still "tuning it up" and getting used to a different set of monitors as well so I can use all the ears I can get out there to help me pinpoint what I'm hearing and what I'm not hearing

I know that "new mix room" disorientation really well - am just now, after a year in my new room, beginning to mix with a little confidence.

Sometimes I still get some nasty surprises out in the "real world" but it's getting a lot better.

Hope you get lots of bass traps for that room of yours! Never ceases to amaze me how something so inexpensive makes all my gear sound better.

Again, though, I know how much work goes into a project like yours and it is really coming along nicely.

10. The closest I ever had to that

.... was my old Yamaha NS-10s. I still have them but they need rebuilt, woofer is shot in one and the tweeter is shot in the other.

They weren't pretty to listen to at all but they had the unique quality of translating to other playback systems extremely well. That's why every major studio had them back in the day, a common point of reference for engineers coming in from all over the place, they could sit down in front of them and bang out a mix on them.

Lovin' it! Bottom end is warm and punchy, drums are poking through like they should and the top end is clean and present.
