I hear hints of Elliott Smith (he's kinda my 'king of acoustic lo-fi'), maybe a bit of Lou Reed & Peter Murphy on the vocals ... and they're kinda Nick Cave-like too.

I kinda feel like it needs a chord change & maybe a chorus in there but if the 'chorus-less 2 chord dirge' is what you're going for, cool

I think it'd be cool if you recorded your own harmony, at least 1, rather than rely on the vocal harmonizer-thingy (what are you using for that?), those are really hard to get sounding natural in my experience.

Gonna work on the GTRs next. Will probably rerecord it all. This thumbnail is just the closest to shareable it has been. I wanted here in this forum for exactly the kind of feedback you posted.

I don't know chord names beyond the basics but the A with fingers only on 3 & 4 at the 2nd fret (not on the 2) sounds cool with the C.

I think Em-C would work as a good change/chorus pair ... could also go Em-G but that 'happy-fies' it a lot, changes the feel. If you wanted a more 'hopeful-sounding' bit at the end, G works for that.
