Justin Timberlake Apologizes to Britney Spears and Janet Jackson: 'I Failed'

In the wake of accusations of sexism and misogyny against Justin Timberlake regarding his treatment of former girlfriend Britney Spears, and his set with Janet Jackson at the Super Bowl in 2004, he has apologized to both in an Instagram post.

“Ive seen the messages, tags, comments, and concerns and I want to respond,” he wrote. “I am deeply sorry for the times in my life where my actions contributed to the problem, where I spoke out of turn, or did not speak up for what was right. I understand that I fell short in these moments and in many others and benefited from a system that condones misogyny and racism.

“I specifically want to apologize to Britney Spears and Janet Jackson both individually because I care for and respect these women and I know I failed.”

What a half-assed apology. He's only sorry for hurting his bottom line. 50 Shades Of Blue Feb 2021 #1

... and most men need to make.

I don't think Justin Timberlakes's bottom line is in any sort of danger.

I was never as liberated as I thought I was. The terrible shame is it took over 30 years to realize it. A lot of what I thought was collaboration with women was mostly condescension on my part.

ONLY until the consequences of keeping mum appeared to outweigh the hit to his ego it took to apologize, did he bother.

Fuck him. I don't buy this is sincere for an instant. It's pure PR.

As for you, at least you realize it now.
