Related: About this forumI'm very happy Just update on the previous post about the Greco i went to check out.
Im sharing Im happy no bragging from me on not buying guitar for $900 as sellers had no clue in what they had even i did not know what these women had until I popped guitar case I dont brag Im not built that way.
It is I am so happy this morning Im feeling joy in my heart just have to share just read text from the sellers received text yesterday yet was watching football then I racked out with Dunc the golden retriever boy and Ms.Corgi bunny bum it was a cuddle fest.
My friend who buys and sales guitars found buyer for the ladies who are selling guitar and he waived his commission on this sale.
Serial number visual inspection confirmed after he received guitar I took lots pics emailed him yet having it after it was shipped to him out in Texas told him jackpot yes and that it is EGF model a Greco super real1800 model.
All original although the caps and capacitors were replaced at one time still has the Dry Z humbuckers total holy grail guitar and i was able to play it unplugged and plugged in rolling back and opening up the pots.
Immaculate piece of work should be in Smithsonian or savant Japan guitar collectors museum.
Sold $7000 to a collector i am in market for my son 19 who is now 20 for a custom shop 59 Les Paul and in order to save cash go Japan you know if you know same quality less in price.
Ive been collecting M.I.J. since 85 as a G.I. West Germany.
And i am still looking online at the Greco EG 59 mint collection or Elitist perhaps Orville maybe even Burny Super Grade as a birthday gift.
One friend who has used music store and he called me mentioned these people have Greco have not seen pics yet Ill put you in contact he knows i collect especially Greco S.E. Stratocasters yet he told me the woman explained it is single cut she has for sale.
When the ladies mom and daughter brought guitar out that her hubs bought career Air Force Japan and I opened case and I read Greco super real on headstock the ladies asked do you think its worth $900.
I picked up the guitar i felt butterflies in my stomach no joke Im weird I know.
As I said these two ladies were basing selling price just by looking at Greco online as in oh this is like dads guitar a single cut.
The ladies wanted to get new brakes upcoming Pennsylvania inspection and gifts for grandkids for Christmas shit I thought you will be able to get brakes replaced Christmas gifts and whole lot more.
I typed in serial number on phone and what i read was E.G.F. it did not have sticker on back of neck yet the serial number was telling me it was EFG obviously headstock had super real worst case i was thinking EGF 1200 its 1800 model.
So in text the ladies have invited me out to dinner were going to Marzonis just to say thank you reasoning behind this is that day i was in hurry I told them I ordered takeout from Marzonis a central Pennsylvania Italian restaurant that has best chicken parm.
How excellent is this chicken parm its on my dear wifes level of chicken parm i would never chain up to get down the road with a trailer in blizzard yet id chain up to go get Marzonis chicken parm or their meatballs.
Have great day D.U. Community Im getting my worsh done to be ready to roll out to Cali in morning. WORSH a nod to my Appalachian grand ma Tuesday is worsh day no burning the trash clothes be drying on clothes line.

Congrats to all of you!
When I was very young my buddies, the guitar players in three garage bands in town, would go all over the NY and north search for guitars, we called it Les Paul fever and it lasted all winter, basically. We would travel all over our region and look at, probably, 75% of the guitars that went on sale anywhere during the whole season. That's where I learned a lot about what I know about guitars and came to enjoy the hunt for a fine instruments.
I don't know whole lot about MIJ guitars but I'll take your word for it since you obviously know what you're talking about!
Once again, congrats! You haven't told us tales of scoring cool guitars in a while... not since the sons left school.
Have a great week!

(3,511 posts)The sellers must be over the moon with their good luck in meeting you before they let the guitar go for their asking price. Your halo got a good shine there. Well done.
