(1,715 posts)Something beautiful about the picture. Is it the symmetry? The colors?
I dont know, but it just seems striking to me. The jacaranda tree is beautiful too. I have never seen one of those in person.
Thank you for sharing!

(152,049 posts)It could be a combination of both those elements, or something else. Why do we like what we like? I have no idea!
It does bring joy to us when something strikes us as beautiful. These days, we need all the help being joyful that we can get.
The jacaranda in person, when it's in full bloom, is an astonishing sight. There are neighborhoods in Los Angeles that have them over many blocks, and it's just stunning. They can be seen for long distances. They're a tropical tree and do well here. Also do well in Florida.
I love to share the beauty in my life. You're very welcome!

(92,635 posts)And you reminded me that the Jacaranda are blooming right now. Last time I flew in to Sand Diego they were in bloom and it was really pretty flying over old town where there a lots of them.

(152,049 posts)We have a pretty good number of the Jacarandas in my town, and it's such a pleasure to see them peeking out of backyards or along the streets. I'll bet they look great when you're airborne.

(92,635 posts)You sort of sink through the marine layer and there are all these clouds of lavender below. But they're pretty to see on the ground too. My mom had one at her old place years ago and I think one of my sisters has one or two in her yard.

(152,049 posts)Funny you point out the one I had the most trouble with!
It seemed fuzzy and a bit out of focus to me, and I really couldn't get it any sharper. But it does have a certain charm, and I'm glad you saw it.
