Fabulous fall flowers

All photos taken yesterday at Longwood Gardens, Kennett Square, PA. I've identified only the insect species.

1. The numbers of blooming flowers, and the insects inhabiting them, are nothing short of amazing! Wow.

I mean, tomorrow's Nov. 1st and these all look like they think it's July or something!

And you, my dear Mousetoescamper, have created an outstanding bit of photography, in capturing these wonders.

Just what I needed to see first thing this morning! I woke up feeling so anxious about this election and needed to set my mind somewhere else. These are gorgeous.

On Wednesday I walked for hours through gardens of blooming flowers, fall foliage, and magnificent structures and statuary. I was surprised to see summer butterflies and numerous species of bees gathering pollen. The day was capped with a spectacular sunset and a bit of adventure pursuing it with my car and camera. Politics and the terror of our current situation didn't once cloud my thoughts during my time away from home. I'm gratified knowing that my photos might help others get a little taste of the peace and joy I felt that day.

Thanks!
