Pastel dawn

Home now. But I watched the dawn before I left the beach. Most of the other days dawn had very intense colors, primarily on the dark side. This had a very soft feeling with the pale shades of pink, blue, and yellow. It felt like a newborn sky: hopeful, and with anticipation of the future.

The drive home was not peaceful. Tail gating has become a regular behavior, regardless of speed limit or how fast you are going. There is no such thing as a speed limit in NC: I drive 5-10 mph over the posted speed limit on the Interstate and I am constantly tailgated--in the right hand lane--or passed by drivers going 85-90 mph. WTF? For some reason all these drivers think the rules don't apply to them.
