Maximum lunar eclipse, 2:29 AM, March 14, 2025. Taken at my mother's home near Roanoke, VA.

1. I saw it (Richmond) but it wasn't red

It looked almost like it was relief from the background. Lots of twinkly stars behind it.

Usual there’s light reflecting off it so my eyes have to adjust to that. Thus morning, no light so it looked completely different.

Very cool.
