1. Cat vs dog. KittyCat usually wins the race. But that doesn't stop Shadow from trying.

My gal Lizzie definitely has a regal air about her. She's constantly getting into these marvelous poses. And I just have to document every one of them. I think I have over a thousand photos of her on my phone! I guess I'm a bit obsessed with her. She comes from a long line of Abyssinian cats.

I have no photo of a cat. Maybe thousands of shots in my archives. But no cats. Your gorgeous entries, some of which are bedazzling to me, almost make me want to start liking cats.
I remember taking ONE single photo of a cat, and it was in Cairo. Maybe 20 years ago. She was on a cart in Egyptian surroundings, and I remembered that Egypt and cats had a relationship starting in antiquity. It would take forever to find it, and then it would not measure up to what is already happening in the contests.
That's why I have no entry

nor do I have any of a squirrel, both agitate me for some reason. squirrels ravage my tree crops and cats as invasive species ravage wild birds, but I also have no rat photos, lol

Per the rules, I have discretion to allow multiple submissions, and since we only have fifteen submissions, so far, I have decided to open it up for those who had difficulty in deciding which photos to submit. Let's see what you have.

17. "Laundry Day" is my cat's favorite day of the week.

I dump the warm basket of clean clothes and towels on my bed and yell, "laundry!" Nine times out of ten, Lizzie runs into my bedroom, hops up on the bed, and buries herself in the warm laundry. Then she'll proceed to fall asleep and spend the entire afternoon under the clothes! I think she'd be perfectly happy if every day was laundry day!

I remembered I was lucky enough to see some of those on my safari in South Africa.
I was safe and high up in the vehicle, the guide had a rifle, and I had my trusty camera.
