I wish I could have gotten closer to the Crepe Myrtles, but I couldn't. Did the best I could!

We were on vacation to Ocean City Maryland once when I was small and my mother just loved the crape Myrtle bushes that were everywhere. She made my dad stop at a nursery to buy one and the man there asked us where we lived. My dad said, in Ohio, and the nursery man said if we lived north of Columbus he wouldn’t sell us one because it wouldn’t survive the winter. My mother was just heartbroken 😔.

I really love the wavy lines of the blooms in your first photo, Peggy. And the colors in the last one are gorgeous.

Sometimes the choices we want to make are just not fair.

Really appreciate your perceptive comments! Thank you.

Beautiful pictures, and I was going to ask if those are crepe myrtles. I only know them from rare trips south.

You do know how to spread the sunshine. May I ask? I wonder if you were ever officially a teacher?

14. You're too kind! I've never been a teacher in any official way.

But being a nurse sure involves teaching. Helping the person you're caring for involves that.

Being a parent also involves teaching, come to think of it!
