Focused on Phobias, but is Wonderful Image of Jumping Spider :)

A recent study...

...To try and understand why some people are disgusted by and afraid of spiders, a new study tracked people's eye movements to see what frightens them the most...

...The team recruited 118 undergraduate students for the study and had them focus on image pairs that featured, in the first part of the experiment: “(1) spider versus butterfly, (2) spider versus insect, (3) spider eyes versus insect eyes, (4) spider versus non-spider arachnid, and (5) spider versus myriapod (centipedes and millipedes)...”

They are so cute and funny and active. I have been a big fan of them for most of my 78 years!

I also love big old yellow and black garden spiders.

on that side of the room (on the ceiling) and catch what he/she could, and happy as could be. Stayed in there for I guess his whole life. He was in there for months and months. I called him Igor. Never bothered me.

I also had a garden spider in my front yard bush by my steps leading up to my front door, and he would have his big web all decked out, and sitting in the middle of it. His name also was Igor.

It's amazing how attached you can get to these insects.
