On this date in 1974, #TheRockfordFiles television movie pilot aired on NBC starring #JamesGarner, in which a woman (#LindsayWagner) hires Rockford to discover if her father's death was homicide or suicide. #BillMumy also guest stars. "Rocky" is portrayed by #RobertDonley.

I didnt watch much TV then, so if Bill Mumy made many appearances on TV shows back then, I must have missed them all. At that age, he probably still looked pretty much like Will Robinson.

Looks like he was already ditching the child actor image. I saw him in the abysmal movie treatment of Lost in Space, and I wouldnt have recognized him without already knowing he was making a cameo appearance.
