On this day, February 20, 1929, Amanda Blake was born.

Dr Buzz has jumped the gun (as have I) on this one. Not just on the day, but by several years.

Wikipedia says that Amanda Blake was born on February 21, 1929.

Actress Amanda Blake was #BornOnThisDay, Feb. 20, 1920. Remembered as "Miss Kitty" on TV's Gunsmoke series (1955-'75). Later ran 1 of the 1st successful programs for breeding cheetahs in captivity. Passed in 1989 (age 60) from #AIDS complications. #RIP #GoneTooSoon #AnimalRights

Amanda Blake (born Beverly Louise Neill, February 20, 1929[1] – August 16, 1989) was an American actress best known for the role of the red-haired saloon proprietress "Miss Kitty Russell" on the western television series Gunsmoke. Along with her fourth husband, Frank Gilbert, she ran one of the first successful programs for breeding cheetahs in captivity.

Tended to rescue performing animals.

We didn’t watch Westerns at my house, except Wild, Wild West (Artemis was cool!). I didn’t recognize the name at first, but I’m glad I took the time to read this post.
