Mirjana Spoljaric
President, ICRC
In Rome, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio met with Pope Leo amid tension with the White House. According to the State Department, the two discussed their "shared commitment to promoting peace and human dignity." Human dignity is often one of the first casualties of war. Iran reports more than three thousand people dead in attacks by the U.S. and Israel, with very few reporters or Western officials permitted to see the devastation. Mirjana Spoljaric, President of the International Committee of the Red Cross, has recently returned from meetings with government officials in Tehran.

Alexander Gabuev
Director, Carnegie Russia Eurasia Center
Vladimir Putin is demanding a weekend ceasefire to ensure the safety of Victory Day celebrations in Russia. The Kremlin says any efforts to disrupt the parade would prompt a “retaliatory, massive missile attack” on the center of Kyiv. How will European leaders deal with Russian aggression as the U.S. steps back from the region? Late last year, a war game organized by a German newspaper predicted that a dangerous time for the continent may be imminent. In that exercise, the role of Vladimir Putin was played by regional expert Alexander Gabuev.

Rep. Shomari Figures
(D) Alabama
Elections are about voters choosing their political leaders. What happens when a redrawn map lets politicians choose their voters? Many argue that the Alabama State Legislature's push to redraw congressional districts is doing just that. This follows the Supreme Court decision that gutted key provisions of the Voting Rights Act, making it harder to challenge plans that dilute voting power along racial lines. Alabama Congressman Shomari Figures joins Hari Sreenivasan to discuss the implications of the Court's recent ruling.

Rita Wilson
Actor and Musician
"Sound of a Woman" is the title of the new album from singer-songwriter and actress Rita Wilson. It’s a raw and vulnerable record, which follows the arc of a woman’s life with unflinching honesty. She joins the show to share the inspiration behind her music.
