21 percent of ballots returned according to today's tracker

Ballots keep rolling in

The recall election is now less than two weeks away, and we are already at 21% turnout. Around the state we have had many special elections that have had turnout in the high-teens to mid-30% range, the kind of electorate that could have very strange outcomes. But this recall special election seems to be poised to blast past those kinds of numbers.

Seniors are still outpacing young voters by a nearly 4:1 ratio, Latinos are still underperforming their share of the electorate by more than half.
