Two teens arrested in U Street crime spree linked to man's death

The 14 and 16-year-old suspects were arrested in connection to the deadly attack on Bryan Smith

The 14 and 16-year-old suspects were arrested in connection to the deadly attack on Bryan Smith. News4’s Mark Segraves reports.

Two teenage boys have been arrested in connection to a string of robberies in the U Street area of D.C. One victim died days after he was attacked.

Bryan Smith, 39, was walking home about 5 a.m. on T Street NW on Sunday, Oct. 27 when the two teen suspects robbed and beat him, leaving him with severe head trauma, police said. … Smith died from his injuries a few days later.

D.C. police announced Friday they arrested two boys, ages 14 and 16, in connection to the crime.

I know they are 14 and 16, but this is not normal and they should be placed in prison and get serious mental therapy. How long is up to the judge. Decades for sure.

Violent crimes like this should be tried in Juvenile court, but the punishment upon conviction should be like an adult. This car jacking and shooting people in public should all be treated very harshly.
