I can say I’m quite confused by every forecast I see, though

Winter storm warning has been issued for much of region, with worst conditions anticipated in morning.

* Winter storm warning 3 a.m. Thursday to 7 a.m. Friday for much of area, except winter weather advisory in Calvert and St. Mary’s counties

Reviewing the afternoon models, we think our forecast described below still holds and wouldn’t change anything at this time.

For those curious, here’s how much snow other weather teams are calling for in Washington:

NBC4: 2 to 4 inches
FOX5: 1 to 3 inches
ABC7: 3 to 6 inches
National Weather Service: 4 to 6 inches

Like the Capital Weather Gang, these teams call for increasing amounts as you head northwest. Forecasts are generally consistent plus or minus an inch or two.
