Torrential middle of the night rain! Flash flood warning for much of the Beltway area

and areas just to the west through around Manassas. Up to 2-4" of rain has fallen in just over an hour, with Alexandria hardest hit (and flooding is underway). Another 1-2"+ could fall in the green-shaded area. Do not travel in this and if you happen to be out do not attempt to cross a flooded road in your vehicle. Turn around. Let us know if you have flooding and stay safe.

Remember to never cross a flooded road in your vehicle. Turn around, don’t drown.
