is airing producer and talk-show host David Susskind’s landmark interview with the civil rights leader, which aired nationwide on June 9, 1963. Their frank discussion of racial issues and the Civil Rights Movement spurred President Kennedy to outline his push for what would later become the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965.
