DC: Get Out There: Under-the-Radar, Area Museums Worth Visiting; Adams Morgan Day, Sun. Sept. 11
WAMU 88.5, American University Radio, Sept. 9, 2022.
WAMU/DCist reporter Aja Drain recently visited the Riversdale House, a museum in Maryland where the curators are diving into the history of the enslaved people who once lived there.
For this weeks Get Out There, we discussed Riversdale and other under-the-radar museums that dont get as much attention as, say, the Smithsonians, including:
Carlyle House
Museum of the Palestinian People
14th Street Graffiti Museum
Heres what were getting up to this weekend:
Elliot: Attending the D.C. State Fair
Aja: Lounging at the Rosslyn Jazz Fest.
Tamika: Visiting the The Spice Suite, a spice shop in Takoma.
