Another way to get more involved for those in the Atlanta area...

Looking to get involved and fight back? Get involved in our 2017 Georgia Women in the Halls Program!
Every Wednesday at 9:00 am during the Legislative Session, constituents are invited to a How to Lobby session, with an update on current legislation, sponsored by Women in the Halls, a project of Planned Parenthood Southeast Advocates. After each training session, participants will proceed across the street to the State Capitol to lobby legislators in the House and Senate. Its quick and effective, and all are welcome!
Where: Coverdell Legislative Office Building, Room 328, 18 Capitol Square SW, Atlanta, GA 30334
GETTING THERE: If you are travelling on MARTA, take the East Line to the Georgia State Station, exit on the Capitol Ave. (west) side, and walk south to the Capitol and/or the Coverdell Office building. The Coverdell Office Building is south of the State Capitol and is entered through the middle doors. The State Capitol is entered through the southwest doors at the public Security entrance. Participants must go through Security Checkpoints for both the Coverdell Office Building and for the Capitol, and a photo ID is required.
AT THE CAPITOL: Once at the Capitol, participants identify their Senators and Representatives, fill out a message form directed to one of them, and ask them to come out into the hall to discuss an issue. This can also be done in small groups (2-4) of that Legislators constituents.
