GA. DISTRICT 3 RUNOFF ELECTION NARROWS TO SINGLE CARROLLTON POLLING PLACE AT FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH FELLOWSHIP HALL

As the July 15th runoff election inches closer, Democratic voters in Georgia's District 3 are narrowing their focus to a single polling place. Having failed to crown a definitive winner in the initial primary for the Public Service Commissioner seat, the runoff was deemed necessary. According to information obtained from a Carroll County government announcement, voters who are looking to cast their ballots in this runoff must do so at the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.

Notably, there seems to be a bottleneck forming with just the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall at 102 Dixie St in Carrollton serving as the sole voting sanctuary. Voters who missed the May 19 registration deadline are out of luck; they won't be able to participate in the election process, as the site reiterates the registration cut-off with emphasis. Furthermore, for the early birds among us, early voting is available at the Elections and Registration Office on Newnan Road from July 7 through July 11.

For those who embrace early voting, the Elections and Registration Office beckons voters with its doors wide open from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM daily throughout the designated early voting period. However, the office closes its doors to voters on the actual day of the primary runoff election, leaving the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall as the last stand for voters rightful claim to participate in the democratic process.

It is of great importance that voters double-check their registration status to avoid any undue election day surprises. The GA My Voter Page provides an easy means for voters to ensure their eligibility, avoiding the harsh reality of being turned away at the polls.
