Hey North Georgians! How are you doing after

Yesterday's storm?

I'm in Forsyth Co and we lost power for about six hours last night. The county does a great job keeping limbs from power lines, but there is no way to prevent trees from falling.

Still waiting for temps to rise so the ice will melt. I'm worried about a couple of trees breaking or falling.

Everyone okay?

I think up further north they had/have issues. My niece lost power in Sugar Hill (Gwinnett.)

around 9 pm. Finally got it back on today around 1 p.m. But because of the weight of the ice on a tree, a huge branch came down on the house. Luckily, it did not break through the roof.

Melts. The long needle pines in my backyard are carrying a lot of extra weight.

exactly nothing. (Except, ok, an "emergency" trip to the grocery by hubby so that we'd have the necessary lay-in of Chardonnay.) My temp ap from three days ago said we'd be seeing a low of one (ONE!) degree on Wednesday. I guess meteorology isn't rocket science. We're way too hard on that groundhog.

morning. I wonder if school will be delayed a couple of hours? Oh well, that forecast will probably change again before I go to bed.

Kids in Forsyth Co ISD have to make up snow days if there are more than 2 with an online learning program.

Glad you avoided the nasty stuff.
