Ga. stops issuing license plates featuring Confederate flag

ATLANTA (AP) -- A Georgia official has ordered changes to a license plate featuring two Confederate battle flags and ordered her agency to stop issuing the tags.

Department of Revenue spokesman Nick Genesi said Friday that the agency's Commissioner Lynne Riley ordered that the plate be redesigned.

The Sons of Confederate Veterans plate was created by state law, but Revenue commissioners have final approval, Genesi said ...

he agrees. He also said we should follow the law regarding gay marriage. What is the world coming to?

But I think the 'redneck arm' of the repub party has lost a lot of clout lately. And yes, it's damned sad that it took a horrible situation to wake the country up to something that should have happened long ago.
