Does Anyone Here Think That It Was The Dems That Took Out Pat Quinn?......

After I read today that Bill Daley is on Rauner's transition team I got to thinking. Rauner and Rahm are friends. Bill Daley on the transition team. Hmmmmm.....

Pat Quinn is a real honest man wanting to do the right things for Illinois and perhaps doesn't get along real well with Madigan and the boys Springfield. It's been said in the past that the Dems get along better with a Rethug governor.

Putting all this together I got to thinking about the 2000 election judges that didn't show up in Chicago on Tuesday due to the robo calls they got. A lot of voters in Chicago were hit by this. Lots of long lines, confusion, etc. I would think a lot of Chicago votes would come in for Pat Quinn. If they were somehow impeded - maybe it would hurt Quinn and help Rauner.

Now who has access to the telephone numbers of those judges? Thinking that this is a pretty well Democratic state - I would think that more Dems had access to those numbers than any Rethugs.

Does anyone think that maybe Pat Quinn wouldn't play ball with the state legislators and wouldn't cut deals with them and was going about doing the things that he felt were best for Illinois - that the Dems in Springfield said - we don't want him as our Governor anymore and we could probably get along better and get more of what we want from a Rethug governor.

Just a thought - if the investigation of those robo calls goes nowhere or gets quashed - maybe some from his own party did Pat Quinn in.

I heard many people blaming Rauner for those robo calls today. Now I wonder if it might have been made to look like Rauner was behind those calls to protect the people that really did in Pat Quinn.

his own party. In 76 Dan Walker was primaried by the Chicago Machine. We got the Big Chump Thompson and his Bilk Illinois programs as a result.

2. Don't forget Glenn Poshard, whose defeat gave us George Ryan.

The Democrats did Poshard in, because of 2 issues: his being personally 'pro-life' and being a strong supporter of the 2nd Amendment. Although he repeatedly said that he would support the law of the land (Roe v. Wade and the Brady Bill, e.g.), despite his personal beliefs, many Dems either chose to stay home or supported Ryan. Furthermore, let's not forget that Poshard was also the first person to publicly state that Ryan had committed the crimes which would eventually land him in prison.

last night reported there was a push to try and get Quinn to run against Rahm for mayor. Oh would I love to see that weasel Rahm ousted by Quinn.

I think she had a chance. rahm has too much money. Even though he is extremely unpopular he can spread all the lies he wants with that money.

Quinn was never very popular when he governed like rahm. But, now he is seen as a loser.

I can't vote for him in the city, but I would contribute to his campaign.

If ever a candidate was unjustly trashed, Pat Quinn was! He's done a fine job as Governor of Illinois, and I bet he would do a fine job as Mayor of Chicago!

My first question was how did they get board of election private information?
If those home phone numbers were to remain private with the Boe,each judge should sue the boe for leaking that info and not keeping their status as a judge private. That will result in a real investigation if they have to prove it was not handed over at the top by a mucky muck
If there isno possible loss to them I doubt much will be followed through on the dirty tricks

12. That information is not really all that private.

When I was county chairman here, I had a list of all the Democratic election judges. The county clerk gave it to me. There was no prohibition about sharing it. Many people had that list.

All of our voting information is available from the county clerk. Any precinct committeeman can get a list of his or her registered voters. The list shows who voted, how they voted if they voted in a primary. Addresses and phone numbers are included.

The Vote Builder software that we use for phone banking and for precinct walking has all of that information, too.
