Rauner and Wilson are expected to meet Saturday. Wilson supported Rauner in his gubernatorial campaign last year, and in turn Rauner appointed him to his transition committee.

Gee, I wonder why Rauner would want Rahm to win?

(3,323 posts)I would imagine given the people involved it will have something to do with money, power or favored position. It saddens me that as an Illinoisan that we are going to have four years of this greedy scumbag Rauner. With his past history I do not understand how so many people could have been fooled. Unfortunately our state will pay and is paying a heavy price for that election.

(7,502 posts)He had a meeting with them yesterday to hear out their views on Chuy and Rham.
Being a rich guy, he's not a typical "on the make" Chicago pol, so he can be pretty independent.
He is a (ugh!) Rauner supporter though so that's not a good sign. I think I heard him say he is meeting with Chuy, also, tomorrow.

(5,644 posts)I could care less about Rahm/Rauner. They can both take a flying leap off a high place with out a chute.
