Related: About this forumI Called Mark Kirk's Office This Morning.....
His D.C. Senate office number is 202-224-2854.
I unloaded on one of his staff personnel regarding his signing this Repug letter to Iran and told them it was borderline traitorous for sabotaging the efforts of our President to push for a deal that would prevent a war. I said if this leads to a war that Kirk should send his son or daughter to fight (I don't even know if he has a son or daughter) but I think they got the point of my statement. I also said that I will do everything in my power to unseat him as an Illinois Senator when he's up for re-election because he is unfit to be a Senator of these United States.
I think I recall that Tammy Duckworth might throw her hat in the ring to unseat him. Well - she'll have my undying support for that effort.
I urge every Illinois Resident to flood Kirk's office with similar calls. Tie-up his phone lines today - please.

(5,196 posts)Up until now, Portman has been merely undistinguished.
Now he shows himself as clueless and aligned with the worst of those who would impede sanity in our nation's foreign policy.

(25,917 posts)to talk to. I also thought about calling back and leaving a recording as it's one thing for Kirk's people to keep a score sheet of negative and positive reaction to his signing this letter. I'm sure that the guy that I talked to won't be able to convey my disdain and anger to Senator Kirk or restate what I told him verbatim. On the other hand a recorded message is there to be replayed and heard with the original emphasis.
Don't get discouraged by hearing the recording to leave a message - you can use that to your advantage. But also press #3 alternative to be able to talk with a live person in his office.

(6,027 posts)Politely told them I was calling to voice my displeasure at his signing the Tom Cotton letter to Iran.
They took my name and zip code for reference and were polite, if a bit rushed.
