we can get her on the ballot. so far the democratic party of illinois has not said anything about her . i have a funny feeling they hope she goes away. this is a facebook grassroots campaign so far. no money and not a lot of time to get signatures. who knows maybe the democrats in the new 16th can at least vote for a democratic candidate. next up is getting the unions to endorse her.

the primary is over. is this trying to get an appointment to fill and uncontested slot?

2. She has to be caucused in by all the county chairmen

in the district. Also, there have to be petitions with the required number of signatures for each county. I don't know the number off the top of my head, but getting the petitions signed is the hard part. Then, everything has to be notarized and delivered to Springfield. I don't know the deadline date this time around, but the election authority could tell you.

Caucusing a candidate in requires some dedication and work. It would have been easier if the Democratic Party had helped a candidate get on the ballot in the 16th. But they don't care about us, because the area is so red. They took that in to consideration when the districts were redrawn. We won't get much money and help in this red, rural area. We will have to pull ourselves up by our own bootstraps. Ha!
