Beware to anyone sending in a Freedom of Information Act request to the DuPage Forest Preserve and following up with the Illinois Attorney General's office.

(2,436 posts)Did the officers who visited state their business?
Basically they were checking out this resident's yard. At first, the Forest Preserve staff even denied they had been there! Thanks goodness for home camera systems, cell phone cameras and neighbors -- all prove otherwise.
Also, one of the officers who was there is the daughter of a Commissioner. Bad enough to have nepotism, but then for them to be involved with these tactics?
What is also strange is that often the media is the Board room during these major revelations, but little if anything comes out.

(2,151 posts)I suggest contacting the local FBI office in Chicago. They have a satellite office in the western suburbs. Make an appointment and go in.

Their civil rights and public corruption investigators may be interested.
The FBI is already looking at something at the Forest Preserve. This story broke a few weeks ago:

(58 posts)Besides, the local FBI may be politically connected just like all the other law enforcers around here.
They are apolitical. Trust me.
