Chicago: Last remaining Trump street signs removed

CHICAGO — The last honorary streets signs in Chicago bearing Donald Trump’s name have been removed.
Chicago city council’s passed an ordinance over a month ago to have the signs outside Trump Tower taken down.
The Dept of Transportation tells the Chicago Tribune city sign crews pulled down the remaining two street signs on Wabash near Trump Tower on Sunday morning. A third Trump sign was stolen months ago.

The move came after Trump repeatedly referred to Chicago as a “war-torn city” and pledged to deport millions of undocumented immigrants.

...in the middle of downtown.The week after the election, my husband and I took one of the architectural tours on the Chicago river. It started and ended right in front of the damn TRUMP building with his named plastered across it. Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge goddamned letters.

At least the letters were silver, not gold. It was a cloudless days, and the sunlight was really shining on them. I had to pull the brim of my visor down really low so I didn't have to see that damn building.
