Vine Grove City Council sees similar faces on the ballot

There could possibly be a new member of the Vine Grove City Council as seven candidates vie for six seats.

The city council is seeing a return of a familiar candidate, Donna J. Betson, who joins all current members on the ballot.

The six incumbents, Kristofer King, Lonnie Dennis, Selena Hudson, Donna Spangenberger, Mary Dunn and Kathleen “Kathy” Sisco — listed in ballot order — are being challenged by Betson, who is slated last on the ballot.

In 2022, the last council election year, Betson lost by 33 votes in order to be in the top six for the council seats.

Betson has returned again this year in an attempt to return to a seat she held for 12 years prior to losing the 2022 election.
