well to try to stay positive I personally think the trillion for infrastructure was the most positive for adding jobs. Our roads have been sadly overlook in the last 20 years. The interstate projects of 60's 70's and 80's lifted our nation out of the poverty wages of the post war 50's. This will create jobs for Americans, keep the money in the country, create satellite jobs like mom and pop vendors, bed and breakfast etc. But more than that the wages will be higher, put money in pockets and take many off the unemployment or welfare checks.
I'm all for improving health-care costs but high deductibles and savings accounts doesn't equal the playing field. It will simply put bad policies on the market. And lead to more medical bankruptcies.

(288 posts)Sad but true. There was a recent article estimating how much infrastructure spending will be required for long term maintenance of a mid sized American city (I think it was Layfette, La) and it's astounding.
Suburban sprawl is just a highly inefficient way of going about civilization.

(2,533 posts)because it came out of the mouth of a liar . I also can't just say whoopee and be a happy camper because I'm white , American born with blue eyes. The way he is treating immigrants, minorities, and women is a disgrace. I can't over look any of that just because I happen to be on his white American list of people who are considered human enough to enjoy America.
Sorry if that sounds grumpy but I haven't slept a single wink all night because I'm panicking that I'm living in a white supremacist dictatorship and people seem ready to grin and accept it.

(19,532 posts)Awkwardly reading stuff that you don't really mean written by someone else should not pass as presidential. Today's reviews underscore every double standard of a campaign in which one candidate was faulted for not being perfect and the other lauded for managing to sound like an adult on occasion.

(17,235 posts)pay for tax cuts, pay for even more military, pay for a trillion dollar infrastructure program, pay for healthcare for all, and all of the other stuff he wants to do. We can't even pay for all of the expenditures already in place. Welcome to the land of make believe or bankruptcy depending on the level of insanity.
