It's nutz up here. Perfect Spring -> Summer. But the vegetation is relentless.

About that area. There are a lot of things I miss about that area.

The more I look around, the more I'm feeling the cosmic boot up my ass... time to start planning the relocation. Don't feel like this area is going to be safe for me. I'm not exactly invisible around here.

I didn't realize how much until I went there in April for the eclipse. It's truly a different world from the Rocky Mountains.

All those different kinds of trees and shrubs, I really loved summers in New England and the winters aren't as brutal as they are here. Still trying to decide on mode of travel for the next trip, I really need a car when I get there so I can explore some places.

How's Skippa doing with the heat? Did you get him a kiddie pool to cool down in?

No matter, I'm keeping up with the mowing and the deck is on deck to get painted, starting Saturday. 1200 sf? At least, maybe more. Will be a huge change to the property.

Brutal here until 7:30. I'm brushing the Skippa 2x/week. It's a "love/hate" thing.

Yeah, I can see how the back deck would get too hot at some points during the day. And I can just see the two of you wrangling through the brushing process!

As soon as I start brushing....the Skippa goes banana's! Nutz to banana's, every time. Don't stop until I get 3 complete brushings with the Skippa hair.

Hopefully he'll calm down a bit as he gets a little older. Some dogs take a solid two years to grow up.

Good luck. I live on a ridge, so very little is mowable, and my neighbor takes down the weeds. If I string-trimmed some slopes near the home, I'd eventually have one leg shorter than the other.

the power went out around 8. I'm on a backup generator (home propane tank).

Other than that, spectacularly beautiful. Sunrise and sunset viewpoints have about 140 degree unobscured views.

Go figure.

Enjoy Maine. I try to make every day the best possible. Some are trickier than others.
