Saginaw County voters to consider road millage proposal

SAGINAW, MI — Saginaw County voters will weigh a five-year road millage proposal set to appear on the Tuesday, Aug. 6, primary election.

The countywide tax would “re-build and restore existing county roads within the townships, and streets within the cities and villages of Saginaw County,” the ballot language states.

For homeowners, passage of the millage would mean adding a 2-mill tax to their annual bills.

If voters approve the new millage this August, a homeowner living in a house with a $50,000 taxable value would pay $100 annually to support the road millage.
