Ford moving Lincoln's headquarters to Detroit's Michigan Central




Ford spent years - and a billion dollars - renovating the historic Michigan Central site, which opened up last year and now houses a handful of mobility-focused tech companies and The Blue Oval's own EV-focused Model e division - plus a hotel, which is currently in the works. In the meantime, Ford has opened a brand new headquarters of its own, replacing the old "Glass House" HQ, which also happened to be where Lincoln was based as well. However, Lincoln won't be joining Ford at that location, and instead, will relocate to Michigan Central.

According to Automotive News, Lincoln will be moving into Michigan Central next month, a move that comes after it joined Ford at the Glass House in 2023 when its previous headquarters was demolished. The idea behind this separation is to help the luxury brand differentiate itself from its mass market counterpart, with Lincoln President Joaquin Nuño-Whelan adding that the move will "change the way we show up." .................(more)
