MI-SOS: Sister of candidate (R) for top Michigan office says she's 'truly evil'
Lansing The race for the Republican secretary of state nomination is widely viewed as up for grabs ahead of the party's endorsement convention Saturday and weeks after the sister of one contender publicly alleged her family member was a "truly evil person."
Clarkston school board member Amanda Love, a longtime Republican operative, acknowledged the secretary of state campaign took a turn after her sister, Adora Orlowski, released a video attacking her on Feb. 16. The video has been viewed more than 15,000 times on social media.
Love's opponents at the convention, where GOP delegates will select nominees for secretary of state and attorney general this weekend, are Macomb County Clerk Anthony Forlini and Oakland County businesswoman and activist Monica Yatooma.
Troy Hudson, a Michigan Republican consultant, said there was "a lot of uncertainty" about how the race will play out Saturday when delegates from across the state gather at Novi's Vibe Credit Union Showplace.
