Seth Meyers is Headlining Forgotten Harvest's Comedy Night
Forgotten Harvest, an Oak Park-based food rescue nonprofit, is welcoming Emmy Award-winning comedian Seth Meyers back to Detroit to headline its 29th Annual Comedy Night fundraiser this spring. The goal of the event is to raise funds to provide more than 2 million meals to metro Detroiters in need.
The event takes place at the Fox Theatre at 7 p.m. on April 29. Best known for his 13-season run on Saturday Night Live and for hosting Late Night With Seth Meyers on NBC, Meyers last headlined Forgotten Harvests Comedy Night in 2017. The nonprofit has also hosted comedians Jay Leno, Jim Gaffigan, and Tim Allen in recent years.
Tickets range from $35 to $175 and go on sale at 10 a.m. on Jan. 28. Ticket holders will be required to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test taken within 72 hours of the show. Masks are required at the venue except for when eating or drinking.
An auction will also be held in conjunction with the event, and sponsorship opportunities are available as well. Proceeds will benefit Forgotten Harvest and its efforts to distribute to more than 180 agencies in Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties.
