Saw this story at the Free Press this morn.

And I drive by that place everytime my wife and I travel to Marquette and back.
Years ago when I smoked, I had run out of cigarettes on X-Mas Eve and I drove first to Baraga but everything was closed so I continued on to L'Anse and only the Holiday was open. It was packed and there were cars parked on the highway where I had to park. Most people were stocking up on booze.

Stopped there several times over the years on my way to and from the Keweenaw. Sorry to hear there were casualties.
