RAIN!!

I haven't seen rain like that around here in years. Hubby said he heard thunder. I didn't because I was brushing my teeth and running water in an interior bathroom (don't bother talking to me when there's ambient noise because I probably don't even know you're speaking).

Anybody else get rain?

How I wish I could send you the almost-daily rainfall we get in New Orleans. We certainly don't need it and so many other areas do.

5. We had about 2 weeks of what seemed like constant rain...

About a month ago (in Arkansas). Then it stopped raining and we had a couple of weeks of 100 degree heat index days. Whether it’s rain or shine, it’s been pretty miserable.

7. Here in the southern Appalachians of north Georgia

we've had nothing but rain all year. We've had maybe 10 to 15 days with no rain since Jan. 1. I've never seen anything quite like it. Five years ago we were in a severe drought and a lightning-caused out-of-control wildfire in the Cohutta Wilderness was spreading smoke as far south as Atlanta. No rain so far today, but clouds are rolling in.

We had more thunder than rain, but friends have been posting very nice rain showers.

We (in my part of Henderson) had about an 8 minute 'light shower'
