Colorado SPA for red
New Mexico (duh)
Texas SPA for tiles on colonial style houses
Florida SPA for plant life, flora.
There is some discussion about Montana meaning mountain in SPA or FRE

I also come from New England, home to Hahvid, Woosta and Lake Chargoggagoggmanchauggauggagoggchaubunagungamaugg.
Now, in California, home to Pittsburgh, Antioch, Albany, Concord, etc. plus Mah-RIN County ... life is confusing.
(*) OK, too make things worse, Italian and Spanish swap the hard and soft "C". So we have cerrado, closed ( sehr rahdo ) in Spanish, unlike cembalo, instrument ( CH em ba lo) in Italian.
