Trump campaign rescinds application to host rally in Douglas County

MINDEN, Nev. (KOLO) - The Trump campaign has officially withdrawn its application to have a rally at the Minden-Tahoe Airport.

The rally was scheduled to be held between Nov. 2 and Nov. 4.

Douglas County officials say the campaign determined they cannot coordinate an event in Douglas County at this time, but did not provide more specifics.

The application was approved, with certain limits, in an Oct. 17 meeting of the Douglas County Board of County Commissioners.

But Minden is in Douglas County about 50 miles south of Reno in washoe county. It is also trump country. This is not his first rally at that airport.
