I got there right around 4:30 PST and it was crowded, but not too crowded. I got to shake Jacky Rosen's hand and tell her that I was happy to vote for her. She's a very nice lady.
There was lots of good food there. I started off with a chocolate macaroon that was obviously homemade by an excellent chef or a caterer who deserves all the business in town. I was gushing about how good it was to a lady sitting next to me and it turned out that she was the one who made them and brought them in!
The place got more and more crowded as time went on. Rep Rosen spoke a few words to the attendees to thank us for coming, supporting her in the election, and apologizing for not having a town hall set up because she was still putting her office and staff together (she's a first termer).
There were people of all ages, ethnicities, background, veterans, people dropping by on their way home from work, children, etc. there. Dunno about everyone else, but I get a sense of peace and well-being when I am surrounded by people who I know are like-minded and with the same purpose. I know that I can expect kindness from them and they never disappoint.
It was a worthwhile trip. Everyone should go and see their representatives at all levels of government and give them your support (if they are Democrats) or make sure that they do right (if they are rethug).
Cheers!
