Kyle Tasker, former Nottingham state rep, strikes plea deal on computer solicitation, drug charges
BRENTWOOD Former state representative Kyle Tasker will spend 3 to 10 years in state prison as part of a plea agreement on charges that he allegedly solicited a 14-year-old girl for sex and offered her drugs.
Tasker, 31, of 87 Smoke Street in Nottingham, intends to plead guilty May 9 to charges of certain uses of a computer prohibited and possession of controlled drug with intent to sell.
The terms of the plea agreement will have to be approved by a judge in Rockingham County Superior Court. It would give Tasker less of a prison term than what he could potentially face if he was convicted by a jury on roughly 14 charges.
Police arrested Tasker last March 1 as he was driving to a location along Lucas Pond Road, believing he was meeting up with a 14-year-old for a sexual encounter, according to prosecutors.

But the lawmakers arrest also set off a second probe by the state Attorney Generals Office into whether Tasker kept a rumored client list that included legislators buying drugs from him.

Yes, Tasker is a Republican. He served on the Children and Family Law committee prior to his arrest. He was in possession of hash oil, MDMA (Ecstasy), and marijuana (ironic since he lives on Smoke Street).
