Five candidates up for three Randolph Township Council seats in upcoming election
RANDOLPH TWP. - For the first time since 2010, the Randolph Township Council election will be a contested election, as Republican incumbents Joanne Veech and Deputy Mayor Chris Carey along with running mate Lance Tkacs vie for three seats against Democrats Thomas Moran and Monique Johnson.
The League of Women Voters of the Morristown Area sponsored a candidates forum debate as the candidates discussed their qualifications, plans for Randolph Township and addressed issues facing the township on Monday, Oct. 17.
My experience on the Town Council for the last four years has given me a strong foundation and understanding of how our form of government works and it enables me to better serve Randolph as a Council member for another four years, Carey said in her closing statement at the debate.
In addition to her service on the Randolph Council, Carey has served the township for a number of years as a member of the Board of Adjustment, the Recreation Committee, the Planning Board and the Parks Committee.
