Wayne Democrats Announce Their Candidates for Mayor, Council-at-Large for the 2025 General Election
WAYNE, NJ On the Democratic slate in this years election for Wayne mayor and council-at-large are two familiar faces and two newcomers.
Current Wayne Board of Education President Don Pavlak, serving in his 20th year as a school board trustee, will take on incumbent Republican Mayor Chris Vergano in the mayors race. In a statement released by the Wayne Democratic Club, they highlighted Palaks service to the town, saying that he has a proven record of service to Wayne Township.
Wayne has been my lifelong home, and Im committed to its future," said Pavlak. "As Mayor, I will prioritize fiscal responsibility, public safety, education, and quality-of-life improvements while keeping taxes stable."
The statement said that Pavlaks platform includes responsible budgeting, supporting first responders, enhancing education, improving infrastructure, and fostering economic development."
