New Jersey Democrats gain slightly after December voter registration

New Jersey added 12,637 new voters in December 2026, with an increase of 2,321 more Democrats and 2,016 more Republicans, according to data released by the New Jersey Division of Elections today.

The number of unaffiliated voters increased by 8,278.

The state now has 854,859 more Democrats than Republicans, up slightly from 854,554 one month ago.

In July 2020, there were over 1 million more Democrats than Republicans. That lasted until mid-2023.
